The Philippine tarsier is a shy nocturnal animal that leads a mostly hidden life, asleep during day and only active at night to hunt food. – Wikipedia
They have buggy eyes, well formed hands and very shy (or scared). A tarsier is so small. The one in the photo above is probably as big as my palm only.
We didn’t go into the wild to see them though. In Bohol, they have set-up centers were tourist could interact with the tarsiers.
Flash photography is a no-no. It will hurt their eyes. Me and my trusty iPhone pose no danger to them, but there were some who are a bit careless.
I do feel sad for them. I wish Bohol could set up interaction centers that wont take these fragile creatures away from their natural habitat.
