Mica is just one of the scholars of the HERO Foundation. HERO stands for Help Educate and Rear Orphans. Hero Foundation helps the family of fallen soldiers in the form of stipends that are directly given to the families to help them with the cost of books, uniform, meals,transportation and school supplies.

On 3 July 2011, Yamaha and Runrio will give you a chance to be help educate and rear orphans of our fallen soldiers. Yahama has pledged to give Php1 million to the foundation if 10,000 of us will gather and run. Game?

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

  • Registration may end earlier than announced deadline therefore; race kits may run out before June 26, 2010.
  • A valid ID must be presented upon registration. For group registration, a photocopy of any valid ID must be presented by the representative.
  • Singlet size availability will be on a first come first served basis.
  • A disposable timing device will be used by all participants during the race.
  • Medals and Finisher’s shirt will be given to all 21km finishers only.
  • Finisher’s kits will be given upon finishing the race.

  1. I have already registered to join in 21K event in this noble undertaking. I just want to know, what needs to be done after the run as I have experience muscle cramps till now when I run during the Merrell Adventure run last 18 Jun 11.

    1. Yey, good on ya! Battle of the cramps starts before the race. I suggest you hydrate well 2-3 days before the race. Make Gatorade or whatever sports drink you prefer your friend. Stretch well and warm up before the race also.

      Make sure that you make a hydration plan and stick to it. Too much and too little can ruin a good run. Our long runs is a good time to practice what works and what doesnt.

      Lastly, chill and have fun. Para relax ang muscles :o)

      1. Thanks for this reminder/suggestion. Unfortunately, now lang ko to nabasa. I did hydrate a day before only but it helps my stamina. However, with less than 1K to the finish line, my left leg starts to cramp kaya di ko na break goal time ko to finish the run in less than 2 hrs. I did 2:13:06. Twas a good run. Kinabukasan, less lang ang injury ko cguro dahil din sa hilot ni ate.
        My next target will be Rexona Run.
