Before I walked inside the function room, I asked Tracy and Donna an all important question.
“Do you have an age cap for participants?”
Donna said the magic words, “None.” I smiled and walked in. This is truly an all women’s run. It is open to all ages, shapes and sizes! I really should have trusted that they would get it right. Afterall, for almost 2 years now, Women’s Health have been guiding Filipinas to a healthier and happier lifestyle.
If there is one race women should join this year, it has got to be
All Women’s Run
by Women’s Health Philippines and Athena Milk for Women to be held on 19 March 2011, SM Mall of Asia.
Major pitch? Oh yes, that’s how excited I am about it!
When Christine (WH Team Publisher) was talking about the race, you could see how well they planned and prepared for this race. Their attention to details comes from an understanding of women and a desire to make sure that all participants will have a fabulous experience on race day. I loved it that Christine said that the singlet design they chose was selected because it will flatter the feminine figure.
So what’s in store for runners?
I will start with my favorite bit. All 5K and 10K finishers will receive a finisher’s bracelet. Oh, I forgot to take a picture of that one. But it is a beaut! There is a little charm that says “Finisher”. It will be handed to finishers as they cross the finish line. I wonder if they will ask gorgeous hunks to hand them out? 😉 IMPORTANT: Participants must be wearing the official race singlet as they cross the finish line in order to win and qualify for the finisher’s bracelet.
When you register, you will get a tote bag. Don’t forget to bring it on race day. They have partnered with a lot of companies who will have freebies galore.
After the race, visit the festival area for more freebies and exciting booths with free post race massage, be adventurous and try the makeover booth, sample athena milk for women and lots lots more.
Oh and they are partnering with RunRio for this race so you know that they will deliver a high quality race.
