not just anyone

I once wrote that “I like running but I don’t think I am willing to run for anyone this early.”

Sadly, for a couple of weeks now, I’ve been running not just for anyone but for a loved one. I’ve been running to say goodbye, to relive treasured memories, to say sorry, to keep his face clear in my head and even to whisper heartfelt wishes.

Then last Saturday, we found ourselves running down to Heritage with a yellow ribbon tied to our wrist. And today, I ran again wearing yellow. She deserved a last tribute. I ran for Cory today.

Madame President, Salamat at Paalam. Say hi to Daddy for me.
