I went shoe shopping with Vicky last night at Mizuno BHS branch.
While she was trying on shoes, it hit me that I missed one reason to rave about the race last Sunday.

The race bib has a 20% discount coupon from Mizuno. Vicky’s discount on her new Wave Nirvana was a little over one thousand pesos. Wow di ba! Check your race bib, but if I remember correctly the promo is until 13 April. So, if you are thinking of buying a new pair, a second pair or your first pair … I highly recommend that it be a Mizuno running shoe.
Apart from the fact that Mizuno running shoes are really great for running, the sales staff I’ve encountered (Megamall and Bonifacio High Street) are also very knowledgeable about the shoes they are selling and extremely patient in helping you decide on your new pair. They will not push the most expensive shoe of the season but will give you the pair best suited for your feet.
Plus plus plus they have that box that you stand on tapos it helps determine your arch type and ultimately right the shoe for you. Stepping on the glass topped box is a bit daunting … my first thought was Eek! I might break it. I didn’t break.

Ever since I started running, I’ve always been biased to New Balance running shoes. I know Mizuno has great Badminton shoes but is their running shoes really that good vs NB? I heard from a serious runner/triathlete before that he got injured while on Mizuno running shoes which was why he switched to NB.

personally I prefer my Mizuno Inspire over the my NB1222s primarily because of the cushioning…lambot kasi talaga ng mizuno tapos magaan. i just got a pair from Newton Running but ive only logged 11ks on it so I havent done a review yet. so far im loving it, good cushioning, very light, its hot pink and somehow i getting convinced na it promotes forefoot running talaga.
